Born out of the vision and mission of Lumati, the foundation is the next bold step in our journey to elevate global well-being, education, and longevity.

Honoring Michelle Pulaski: The Inspiration Behind the Foundation

Thirty-seven years ago, Lumati's founder and CEO David Perez faced a life-altering tragedy. A devastating car accident claimed the life of his passenger, Michelle Pulaski, a young woman who dreamed of becoming a doctor and dedicating her life to helping others. While this event was deeply painful for Michelle's family and David, it planted the seed for a mission that would go on to impact lives around the world.

In Michelle's honor, David has tirelessly worked to bring hope and wellness to as many people as possible. From his early disaster relief efforts in 2005 Hurricane Katrina, to the 2010 Haiti Earthquake, to Superstorm Sandy and Hurricane Irma, to his ambitious goal of positively impacting 1 billion lives during his lifetime, David's journey has been guided by this defining event. The creation of the Lumati Foundation ensures that Michelle's memory will not be in vain, inspiring and empowering generations to come.

The Mission of the Lumati Foundation

The Lumati Foundation is dedicated to education about holistic treatments, transparent science and expanding access to life-changing treatments for those that can’t afford them. The foundation’s initiatives will focus on two key pillars:

1. Access to HemoDetox Wellness Protocols

   Fifty percent of the foundation's proceeds will subsidize HemoDetox wellness protocols for individuals who cannot afford them. These sessions will prioritize essential community members such as teachers, military personnel, police officers, firefighters, and nurses who selflessly serve others.

   
   

2. Scholarships for Young Women Seeking a Career in Holistic Medicine                               

   The foundation will also invest in the next generation of wellness practitioners and doctors by providing scholarships to young women pursuing naturopathic doctorates. These scholarships will be offered in partnership with leading institutions and colleagues committed to advancing holistic and integrative medicine.

A Commitment to Giving Back

From its inception, Lumati has been dedicated to creating a positive ripple effect in the world. The company has committed to donating 18% of its net profits to the Lumati Foundation, ensuring that its success translates into meaningful impact for those in need. Based on our current projections, this should lead to tens of millions of dollars being donated over the next decade to advance the foundation's goals.

Leadership and Governance

The Lumati Foundation will be guided by Michelle Kasteler, whose extensive experience and passion make her an exceptional choice as Executive Director. Supported by our founder, David Perez — who has personally donated to over 20 nonprofits and led campaigns raising more than $200 million for various humanitarian causes over the past two decades — the foundation will continue its mission to advance wellness and honor the legacy of Michelle Pulaski. The foundation's board members, to be announced by David Perez, will include prominent leaders, visionaries, and advocates dedicated to its cause.

Lumati Foundation Launch Event — December 13, 2024

The Lumati Foundation was launched as part of A4M 2024 at an incredible private home in Las Vegas. Many luminaries from the health optimization world were involved, including Dr. Mark Hyman (Function Health), Dr. George Shapiro (Fountain Life), Gary Brecka (Ultimate Human), Dave Asprey (Upgrade Labs), Ben Greenfield (Boundless), and many more.
