FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Encinitas, Calif. – December 15, 2024 – Lumati, a leader in innovative health and wellness solutions, is proud to announce the launch of its philanthropic foundation, The Lumati Foundation.

Lumati Foundation

The Lumati Foundation made its debut at an intimate private home event in Las Vegas during the renowned A4M LongevityFest, marking a significant milestone in Lumati's commitment to improving the vitality of one billion humans by 2035. Lumati also launched its flagship product, the Lumati 5-in-1 Recharge Station during LongevityFest.

"Launching the Lumati Foundation during A4M LongevityFest was the perfect confluence of visionary thought and actionable purpose," said David Perez, CEO and Co-founder of Lumati. "Our goal is to harness the power of innovation to address the critical need for alternative, science-backed holistic wellness modalities that are accessible to the people who need it most —and this exclusive event reflects our commitment to creating meaningful change in the wellness industry."

The exclusive launch in a private Las Vegas home set the stage for a dynamic gathering of thought leaders, innovators, and community advocates. Attendees including Ben Greenfield, Dave Aspery, Gary Brecka and (via zoom) Dr. Mark Hyman experienced firsthand the passion and forward-thinking vision behind the Lumati Foundation, gaining insight into the foundation's multifaceted approach to catalyzing positive change.

Eighteen percent of Lumati’s net profits will go directly toward subsidizing alternative wellness treatments for those who cannot afford them, prioritizing the everyday heroes among us—teachers, military personnel, police officers, firefighters, and nurses. These individuals serve selflessly, and Lumati believes their well-being should never be out of reach.

The Lumati Foundation will be led by Perez, alongside Executive Director Michelle W. Kasteler, a seasoned attorney passionate about empowering women and advancing community health.

“At the heart of the Lumati Foundation is a deep belief that everyone should have access to health and well-being,” said Michelle W. Kasteler, Executive Director of the Lumati Foundation. “Our mission is to bridge the gap between innovative health solutions and the people who need them most.”

Entrepreneur and humanitarian Perez was inspired to create Lumati (formerly Hydrate Spa) and the Lumati Foundation through his own personal experience marked by tragedy. Thirty-seven years ago, Perez was in a devastating car accident that claimed the life of Michelle Pulaski, a young woman with dreams of becoming a doctor and helping others. This loss, while deeply painful, planted the seed for a mission that would go on to transform lives worldwide.

In Pulaski’s honor, Perez has dedicated his life to healing humanity and bringing hope to those in need. His journey—from disaster relief leadership to founding the Lumati Foundation—has been guided by a singular purpose: to make wellness, innovation, and healing accessible to all.

“The Lumati Foundation is the next evolution in my personal journey and mission to improve the vitality of one billion lives by 2035,” said Perez. “I’m incredibly grateful to be joined in this mission by our Executive Director Michelle and our talented Board of Directors. Together, we will bring Lumati’s  life-changing modalities and science-backed approach to wellness and longevity to those who truly need it and otherwise wouldn’t have access to this kind of treatment.”

Joining Perez and Kasteler to lead the Lumati Foundation are the Board of Directors:

  • Dr. Lyda Tymiak Lindell is a fellowship-trained Regenerative Medicine Specialist and a pioneer in personal health optimization. Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), Dr. Lyda provides consultations aimed at achieving your optimal wellness.

  • Karen Wanek is a visionary business leader and philanthropist dedicated to driving innovation in sustainable agriculture, medical research, and community development. As Chairwoman of Superior Fresh, the largest land-based Atlantic salmon producer in the U.S., Karen has revolutionized aquaculture practices and championed environmental stewardship.

  • Taylor Adams is an investment entrepreneur and growth magnifier who has a gift for helping Next Generation Leaders discover meaning and purpose through social entrepreneurship and investing. She founded Yoga Ed., bringing science-backed yoga programs to schools, and co-founded EDUCATION FIRST! to advocate for education reform. At The Accelerated School in Los Angeles, she helped implement Yoga Ed.’s curriculum as a public school model. Through the Tara Lynda Guber Scholarship, she supports educator training. Alongside her husband, Peter Guber, she extends her impact through sports ownership, including the LA Dodgers and Golden State Warriors, and serves on the Joyful Heart Foundation Board, aiding trauma survivors.
