FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Encinitas, Calif. – December 15, 2024 – Lumati, a leader in innovative health and wellness solutions, is proud to announce the launch of its philanthropic foundation, The Lumati Foundation.

Lumati Foundation

The Lumati Foundation made its debut at an intimate private home event in Las Vegas during the renowned A4M LongevityFest, marking a significant milestone in Lumati's commitment to improving the vitality of one billion humans by 2035. Lumati also launched its flagship product, the Recharge Portal during LongevityFest.

" Launching the Lumati Foundation during A4M LongevityFest was the perfect confluence of visionary thought and actionable purpose," said David Perez, CEO and Co-founder of Lumati. "Our goal is to harness the power of innovation to address the critical need for alternative, science-backed holistic wellness modalities that are accessible to the people who need it most —and this exclusive event reflects our commitment to creating meaningful change in the wellness industry."

The exclusive launch in a private Las Vegas home brought together a dynamic group of thought leaders, innovators, and community advocates. Attendees, including Ben Greenfield, Dave Asprey, Gary Brecka, and Dr. Mark Hyman (via Zoom), learned more about the mission and vision behind the Lumati Foundation and its community-focused initiatives.

Eighteen percent of Lumati’s net profits are designated to support the Foundation’s efforts to increase access to wellness services for individuals who may otherwise face financial barriers. The Foundation prioritizes everyday heroes among us—teachers, military personnel, police officers, firefighters, and nurses—recognizing their service and commitment to our communities.

The Lumati Foundation will be led by Perez alongside Executive Director Michelle W. Kasteler, a seasoned attorney committed to community engagement and advancing access to wellness resources.

“At the heart of the Lumati Foundation is a deep belief that everyone should have access to health and well-being,” said Michelle W. Kasteler, Executive Director of the Lumati Foundation. “Our mission is to help expand access to innovative wellness resources and educational support for individuals and communities who may otherwise face barriers.”

Entrepreneur and humanitarian Perez was inspired to create Lumati (formerly Hydrate Spa) and the Lumati Foundation following a profound personal tragedy. Thirty-seven years ago, Perez was involved in a devastating car accident that claimed the life of Michelle Pulaski, a young woman who aspired to become a doctor and serve others. This loss, while deeply painful, became the catalyst for a lifelong commitment to service and community impact.

In Pulaski’s honor, Perez has dedicated his work to expanding access to wellness resources, education, and innovative technologies. His journey—from disaster relief leadership to founding the Lumati Foundation—has been guided by a singular purpose: to increase access to wellness opportunities and support individuals and communities in leading healthier, more resilient lives.

The Lumati Foundation represents the next evolution in my personal journey and long-term commitment to expanding access to wellness,” said Perez. “I’m incredibly grateful to be joined in this mission by our Executive Director Michelle and our Board of Directors. Together, we aim to broaden access to Lumati’s wellness technologies and science-informed approach for individuals and communities who may not otherwise have access to these resources.”

Joining Perez and Kasteler in guiding the Lumati Foundation is a distinguished Board of Directors:

  • Dr. Lyda Tymiak Lindell is a fellowship-trained physician focused on regenerative and longevity medicine. Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), Dr. Lyda brings extensive experience in personalized wellness strategies and health optimization.

  • Karen Wanek is a business leader and philanthropist committed to advancing sustainable agriculture, research initiatives, and community development. As Chairwoman of Superior Fresh, the largest land-based Atlantic salmon producer in the United States, she has helped advance innovative aquaculture practices and environmental stewardship.

  • Taylor Adams is an investment entrepreneur focused on supporting next-generation leaders through social entrepreneurship and values-driven investing. His career reflects a commitment to understanding and strengthening the interconnected business and philanthropic landscape.

  • Tara Guber is a philanthropist, activist, and educator dedicated to expanding access to educational and wellness-based programs. She founded Yoga Ed., introducing evidence-informed yoga programs to schools, and co-founded EDUCATION FIRST! to advocate for education reform. She has supported curriculum implementation within public school systems and, through the Tara Lynda Guber Scholarship, contributes to educator training initiatives. Alongside her husband, Peter Guber, she is involved in sports ownership, including the Los Angeles Dodgers and Golden State Warriors, and serves on the board of the Joyful Heart Foundation, supporting survivors of trauma.
